<p>Almost everyone is talking about the miraculous green tea  health benefits nowadays. Apparently, green tea is good for almost  everything. It is supposed to help you with reducing your risk of  various serious diseases including cancer, heart attack, and stroke. It  is supposed to reduce stress, help you lose weight, and even help you to  maintain mental clarity. It is even supposed to have certain  nutritional benefits. Nevertheless, you can&#8217;t take advantage of any of  the green tea benefits if you cannot drink green tea. And I simply  cannot drink green tea.</p>
<p>When I first heard about  the green  tea benefits study, I really wanted to get into it. I have never been  much of a tea drinker, preferring coffee, but I figured that the green  tea benefits made it worth giving it another shot. I had never tried  green tea before, and I expected it to be substantially similar to black  tea. Boy was I surprised. The green tea was awful. Supposedly for the  green tea weight loss benefits to kick in, I would have to drink dozens  of cups of the stuff a day! None of the benefits of green tea are worth  that to me!</p>
<p>Then suddenly, I stumbled upon green tea supplements.  I hadn&#8217;t even thought about the green tea supplement possibility. I  figured that anyone who wanted to take advantage of green tea benefits  would just simply drink the tea. After all, it was the easiest and most  efficient way to do it. Who would want to take green tea in pill form,  using a highly processed extract instead of the real thing. Nonetheless,  when I found the green tea supplements I was ecstatic. Now I could get  all the benefits of green tea without having to drink the disgusting  swill.</p>
<p>It has been about six weeks since I started on my green  tea regimen, and I&#8217;m not sure quite what to think. It is hard to  evaluate the green tea benefits and isolate them from other factors in  my life. You see, so much has changed for me recently. I have been  exercising more, eating a healthier diet, and even taking vitamin  supplements. My health has improved and I have lost a lot of weight, but  I don&#8217;t know how much of that has to do with green tea weight loss and  how much has to do with diet. Nonetheless, I figure that the tea  certainly can&#8217;t be hurting!</p>

Is there something good in your food other then making  you not hungry? Yes there is! Your food is consisting of several awesome  parts. Try looking at your food differently now. Try looking at it as a  challenge and a conquest for better health and life. We laugh at  vegetarians, but why? They are very healthy and happy. Vegetarians are  getting more of the daily recommend dose of vegetables and fruits then  the meat eating population. They are also getting more of the  phytochemicals that help fight off the viruses that are in society  today.</p>
<p>Fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, legumes are all words  you may think to yourself what is that? Well they are the support system  of your body. Fruits and vegetables have lots of phytochemicals in them  and you can get about 100 different phytochemicals per serving of  fruits and vegetables.  What are phytochemicals? Well the most  commonly known phytochemical is the antioxidant. Antioxidants help to  protect our cells from toxic substances and free radicals. You want to  keep your cells strong for the long haul of life ahead.</p>
<p>Cholesterol.   Yes we all have it and no we don’t want to have to worry about it. Well  unfortunately we all must in this day and age worry about our  cholesterol. A good way to lower your cholesterol is with oats. Just by  eating three grams of soluble fiber a day, the same amount found in a  large bowl of one hundred percent oat bran or three packages of instant  oatmeal, can lower your LDL cholesterol by at least five point six  percent in six weeks. That is an awesome decrease in LDL cholesterol and  can save your life.</p>
<p>Still worried about your cholesterol and  hate the thought of oatmeal three times a day? Try cooking with olive  oil. If you are unhappy with the flavor of olive oil the try canola oil.  Both are a great source of monounsaturated fat; A great reducer of  cholesterol. Other sources of monounsaturated oils are Peanut oil,  Walnut oil, Sesame Oil, and Soybean oil. What ever you do though do not,  I repeat, do not go overboard with any oil. They all have fourteen  grams of saturated fat and one hundred twenty calories per tablespoon.  Lets face it we are an obese society; we need all the help we can get to  not add extra fat to our bodies.</p>
<p>Did you know the benefits of  Nuts? They are surprisingly good for your heart. Macadamia nuts are the  best for you as far as monounsaturated fats go. Walnuts are the lowest  on the scale for monounsaturated fats. Apparently replacing saturated  fat with polyunsaturated fats found in nuts reduces your risk of heart  disease.</p>
<p>Omega three fatty acids found in fish oils are superb at  lowering blood fats such as triglycerides. Omega three fatty acids also  help reduce blood pressure and may ease the symptoms of arthritis. You  should eat fresh fish two to three times a week, however do not take  fish oil supplements with out talking to your doctor first.</p>
<p>Vitamin   E, is the great protector. Vitamin E helps to fight cancer, heart  disease, and cataracts. Now that is one tough antioxidant! Spinach! I  know why Popeye ate his spinach, because it is a powerhouse in the  antioxidant family. Not to mention it has every nutrient out there. It  is a great source of folic acid, which can reduce the risk of neural  tube birth defects. It also protects against cervical displaysia which  is a condition that precedes cervical cancer. Women! You must eat your  spinach. Women who eat spinach daily are forty three percent less likely  to suffer from a stroke, then those women who only ate spinach once a  month or less. Now I don’t care those numbers are hard to beat. Eat your  spinach ladies and live long happy lives. Women you also need to eat  your squashes, which are high in beta carotene.  Those of us who  eat fruits and vegetables high in carotene reduce our risk of cataracts  by thirty nine percent.</p>

It doesn’t matter  when you start a diet, but it does matter how you start it and why you  start it. Lose weight for yourself and for your health, but don’t do it  just because you need a New Year’s resolution and that seems like the  obvious one. If you do want to start one for the new year, make sure you  start long before the first on January. Work on meal plans and exercise  options before you jump in.</p>
<p>If you just start and you have no  idea what you are doing, you are going to fail. Many go through  Thanksgiving and Christmas enjoying the foods that the holidays have to  offer, and they suddenly feel horrible about it and start a diet. You  have to have meal plans ready to fit your life and your family life. You  have to have an idea about what you should really be eating and when  you should be eating it. You can get pre arranged meal plans from some  sources online, but you don’t know if they are tailored to what you  need.</p>
<p>There seem to be meal plans for every type of person. The  questions is though, do you know what type of person you are? A lot of  people claim you need to have meal plans that allow you to eat every few  hours. This might be good advice, but with your lifestyle, is this  possible? Sometimes it is not, and there are many who cannot follow this  advice. That doesn’t mean you should give up and fall back into your  old ways; it just means you have adjust to fit your life.</p>
<p>You can  get meal plans that are high in protein, but make sure that is what  your body really needs. You can get them for those who are on the go a  lot, or for those who have all the time in the world to cook. I know I  don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen, so I have to make up  my own meal plans. They have to be healthy for me, but they also must  offer something for my family. From the skinny to the obese, the desire to lose weight  is one of the biggest common factors for almost all Americans. Yet there  are few people who approach it in the correct way. They try fad diets,  exercise programs, supposedly effective weight loss pills, and all kinds  of other trends. None of them take the simple step of eating to lose  weight. If you eat to lose wieght, you will, and that is that. Why make  it difficult for yourself?</p>
<p>There are several commonsense  strategies to eat to lose weight. Although designing the perfect diet to  lose weight can be a science, eating to lose weight is easy. You do not  have to perfectly calculate how many carbohydrates, how much fat, how  much fiber, and how much sugar you can have. You simply eat healthily.  When you eat to lose wieght, you reduce your portion size, eat much  fiber is possible, cut down on fatty foods and sweets, and drink plenty  of water. Combined with a healthy exercise routine, you will be losing  weight in no time. Who wants to count calories when you can make things  simple for yourself. All it requires is self-control and some  perseverance. Everyone can do that in order to eat to lose wieght, can&#8217;t  they?</p>
